Alec McCrory is a guitarist and drummer with over 17 years of playing and teaching experience. A native of The Woodlands, he found his passion for music when he was 16 years old and has actively expanded his talents as a member of Strange Waves and Lip Service.  Alec thrives on performing and has opened for numerous bands in and around the greater Houston area including Skid Row and Warrant.  

 

Alec pulls inspiration from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Mac Demarco, and Red Hot Chili Peppers. He takes a holistic approach when teaching lessons by prioritizing chord theory and scale patterns so students develop a better understanding of the music they’re playing.

 

Alec is excited to join the Muse Mantra team as a guest guitar and drum teacher.
