Carlos Avila
Piano & Voice Teacher - The Woodlands, TX

Carlos Avila is a voice and beginner piano instructor at muse mantra school of music & arts in The Woodlands, Texas. With a strong background in musical theatre, Carlos brings energy, creativity, and encouragement into every lesson.

 

Born in Venezuela and raised in Miami, he discovered his passion for performing at Lone Star College Montgomery, where he appeared in productions including Little Shop of Horrors, Footloose, SpongeBob the Musical, The Outsiders, Blood Brothers, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and Assassins, along with other performances throughout the Houston area.

A highlight of Carlos’s musical journey was singing with the Voices of Liberty at the Epcot Candlelight Processional. In 2026, he made history as the first student from his program to reach the KCACTF Musical Theatre Initiative Finals, a national collegiate theatre competition. He is currently pursuing his BFA in Musical Theatre at Sam Houston State University.

As a teacher, Carlos believes every student has something unique to offer. His lessons focus on building healthy technique, musical expression, confidence, and a genuine love for performing in a supportive and encouraging environment.

 

Carlos teaches voice and beginner piano lessons at muse mantra, serving students from The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball, Conroe, and surrounding areas.
