Dakota is a Percussion and Piano instructor at muse mantra. He started in the percussion section of the junior high school band and was in the drum line until high school graduation. He participated in the Magnolia High jazz band where his love for the drum set started. Dakota has also studied music theory and piano to further his music knowledge and teaching skills.

 

Dakota plays drums professionally and has been a part of a several bands around North Houston area. He has had the opportunity to go on tour multiple times with different artists. Some include a west coast tour with TV Smith's The Adverts, an east coast tour with Zach Person, and a Belize tour with Caleb and the Homegrown Tomatoes. 

 

Dakota believes theory and technique are highly important to build a solid foundation for any new player's musicality. Every student has their own dreams and goals when it comes to music and it's important to keep the experience challenging but also fun and rewarding.
