Kamela Scarbeck
Kamela Scarbeck started singing and playing the piano when she was five years old. She has always been passionate about spreading her love of music with those around her.
She attended the Conservatory of Melun in France, where she spent most of her life. During this time, she studied music history/theory & sang Italian opera. In 2015, she pursued her passion for teaching voice and piano in her community & has been impacting her students ever since.
Kamela graduated from Sam Houston University in May of 2020 with a minor in Music. She is fluent in French and can sing in Spanish & Italian. Most importantly, she adapts to all of her students' learning styles and believes that confidence can be built through a shared love of music.
Ms. Kamela teaches Piano and Voice as a guest teacher.
Voice Lessons
With beginners, we start with a basic understanding of breathing mechanisms, body alignment and resonance through vocal exercises and simultaneously proceed with an appropriate repertoire.
With advanced singers, we keep working on all aspects of vocal technique including vowel alignment and modification, diction, range, and other aspects related to the repertoire of their choice (classical vs. music theater and CCM). We include “vocal coaching” in lessons as well, which is accompanying students on piano, helping with learning new repertoire, stylistic, and overall musicality.
