Molly Camacho
Molly is a friendly and outgoing piano and voice instructor. With over six years of experience, she’s always excited to meet new students of all ages.
Molly began singing at a very young age and started taking private vocal lessons in fourth grade. She enjoyed singing with the school choir throughout elementary, middle school, and high school. She participated in both solo and ensemble performances, earning top scores for solo performances. Molly performed at Carnegie Hall in New York as part of an ensemble. She began studying piano at the age of 13. After a few years of traditional instruction, she started learning new styles and songs on her own. She especially loves Broadway/musical theatre and rock music and played piano in a Cypress-based blues band called Black River Revival.
Molly understands that students learn in various ways and offers a very encouraging, adaptable teaching style with lots of positive reinforcement. She believes that playing the piano and singing can be super easy and lots of fun, especially with some knowledgeable help to guide you along!
Voice Lessons
With beginners, we start with a basic understanding of breathing mechanisms, body alignment and resonance through vocal exercises and simultaneously proceed with an appropriate repertoire.
With advanced singers, we keep working on all aspects of vocal technique including vowel alignment and modification, diction, range, and other aspects related to the repertoire of their choice (classical vs. music theater and CCM). We include “vocal coaching” in lessons as well, which is accompanying students on piano, helping with learning new repertoire, stylistic, and overall musicality.
